We made matcha powder using a manual grinder and savored the delicious matcha at the Hoshino Tea Culture Museum.

桜満開の中、息子の入園式を迎えました。
そして、2015年4月に八女へ移住してから、ちょうど10年の月日が経ちました。

当時、知り合いが一人もいない土地に移住するという決断は、今ほど田舎移住が一般的でなかった時代には珍しく、家族からも反対、半ばバカにされました。無職・無収入で、むしろ資本主義に反発するような思想を持ち、「働きたくない」とさえ思っていた自分。目立とうとも思わず、結婚も諦め、社会に貢献したいとか、認められたいとも思わず、ただ遠くから自分に会いに来てくれる人たちと、自由気ままに生きていければそれでいい——そんなロックな考え方をしていた頃が懐かしいです。

しかし、気がつけば10年。ずいぶんと丸くなりました。

振り返れば、本当に人の縁と運に恵まれていたと思います。

いろいろな出来事がありました。偶然にも家を譲り受け、山奥の奥に住むようになったこと。事業を始めたら、思いがけずメディアに取り上げられるようになったこと。婚活に成功し、八女のプロモーションとして結婚式を挙げさせてもらったこと。勢いで本を出版したこと。そして、八女の旗を掲げて北海道から八女まで歩き、日本縦断を果たしたこと。さらには、市議会議員選挙に出馬するという無謀とも言われる挑戦までしてしまいました。

さらに、世界一尊敬するムヒカ大統領に、自分が手掛けたお茶を献上するためにウルグアイに行ったりそんな機会にも恵まれ。また、コロナ禍で新婚早々離れ離れになった国際カップルとして、1年後に再会を果たし、それがメディアに取り上げられるという出来事もありました。

きっと10年前の自分が今の自分を見たら、大笑いしていることでしょう。

これからも、置かれた環境の中で、自分にとっても、家族にとっても、そして社会にとっても意義のあることを見つけ、挑戦し続けていきたいと思います。そして、10年後もまた笑って振り返ることができるような生き方をしていきたいです。

二拠点生活をしている息子が帰ってきました！久しぶりにコジローと再会して、ほっこりする時間。
というわけで3月から「天空の茶屋敷」も通常運転に戻ります。今年もまたたくさんのゲストと素敵な時間を過ごせるのを楽しみにしてます。

Our son, who has been living in two different places, is finally back home! He reunited with Kojiro, and it’s such a heartwarming moment. From March, "Sky Tea House" will be back to normal operations. We’re looking forward to welcoming many wonderful guests as spring arrives!

推しのインフルエンサーのセミちゃんが来てくれました。セミのように夏になったら来てくれるのでコジローも喜んでおります。

主にTiktokerとインスタグラムのようですが、初めて来た時はフォロワー60万くらいだったのですが今は140万とのこと、すごい。ちっちゃくてカワイイけど大物らしい。もっと伸びれー
